"Poor dear." She paused then let out a soft gasp. "Oh! Oh, Gabrial! Feel!" She took his hand, laying it on her small belly. He could feel just the tiniest flutter.
"I want to feel too!" Sammael jumped up and scrambled onto the couch between his parents. Mei laughed and took her son's tiny hand, laying it on her belly. "Do you feel it?" A big grin appeared on his face. "Hai!" He laid his cheek on her stomach, listening.
She too looked a little surprise but she smiled. "It looks like it. So much for it being a surprise." "Oops. Sorry, Mommy." She laughed and kissed him. "It's okay, sweetie."
"Little sister!" Mei laughed. "That's not a name, sweetie." She kissed her son's hair and stood. "I'm going to make some dinner. How does chicken sound?"
"Little sister!" Mei laughed. "That's not a name, sweetie." She kissed her son's hair and stood. "I'm going to make some dinner. How does chicken sound?"
She laughed. "That much cuteness earns you both another kiss." She leaned down and kissed each of them before swaying into the kitchen. ********* "I'm going to RIP his fucking wings off and jam them down his throat!" Eiro ranted, pacing back and forth in his bedroom.
"No, I'm PAST upset. I'm PISSED," Eiro ranted, his cheeks rather red. "And, to make matters worse, Mei knew all about it. Which means Gabrial knew about it, which means I'm going to be having a word with him."
"Because I'm the angel of forgiveness. I can look past the mistakes. You're the one who's always judging people." She held up her hand. "Don't try to deny it."
She was laying in her own bed, her clothing folded neatly beside her. There was also a necklace lying on top of them. It was a golden apple with a snake wrapped around it.
The backside felt slightly rough and when she turned it over, she saw it had been engraved with her name. She also noticed the chain was long enough so she could hide it under her clothes.
She looked down. "I know what you're going to say. I can't see him ever again. I'm not going to argue with you. I won't talk to him or see him ever again, so don't worry about it."
Eiro sighed quietly and stood, going over to her. "But...I want you to understand why, Cam. It's not because I'm trying to be mean or that I don't want you to be happy. He's a fallen angel."
"I know. And I can't be with him unless I'm in hell with him...I know." She looked up at her father. "I didn't know it was him, Daddy... Not until yesterday."
She waved and went into the room her parents had set aside for her paintings. She set up a canvas and primed it. She selected a few paint colors white the painted dried enough so she could start the base layer.
The question became...what was she going to paint? "What are you doing?" Cam looked over to see Kokoro wandering into the room, her hair still touseled from sleep.
She sighed. But it was best that he wasn't there. It would be aweful if he showed up, especially since her painting was of him. Her father would never forgive her.
"Where's the guy you're competing with? Hiro-whatever? I want to see his painting," Mei said. She grabbed Cam's hand, dragging her away. "By the way, I can't believe you painted Lucifer."
"If Daddy would have had a problem, I would have just calmly explained to him that it was my way of getting over him...I mean, I know we can't be together..."

"Hai!" He laid his cheek on her stomach, listening.
Gabrial chuckled. "Can you hear the baby?"
"Uh huh!" Sam grinned up at his paretns.
Gabrial ruffled his son's hair. "Are you excited to have a little brother or sister?"
"Sister."
"What?"
"It's a sister. And yes, of course!"
Gabrial blinked at his son. "Oh..." He smiled and looked at Mei. "Looks like he's learning quickly."
She too looked a little surprise but she smiled.
"It looks like it. So much for it being a surprise."
"Oops. Sorry, Mommy." She laughed and kissed him.
"It's okay, sweetie."
Gabrial tickled his son a little. "Well, I suppose we should start thinking up names."
"Sounds good to me." Gabrial smiled at her.
"Chicken is good!" Sam grinned at his mother.
She laughed.
"That much cuteness earns you both another kiss." She leaned down and kissed each of them before swaying into the kitchen.

"I'm going to RIP his fucking wings off and jam them down his throat!" Eiro ranted, pacing back and forth in his bedroom.
Kira folded her hands in her lap. "He didn't do anything to her, Eiro."
"That doesn't mean he hasn't tried! Or that he wouldn't do it given half a chance!"
"Eiro...Please calm down. I know you're upset..."
"No, I'm PAST upset. I'm PISSED," Eiro ranted, his cheeks rather red. "And, to make matters worse, Mei knew all about it. Which means Gabrial knew about it, which means I'm going to be having a word with him."
"Eiro." Kira arched an eyebrow at him. "If Gabrial knew, he was probably keeping an eye on them."
"That isn't the point, Kira. He knew I didn't want that bastard anywhere near Cam."
"Why?"
"Because he's the devil, Kira! He's a fallen angel. Don't you understand? They can't be together."
Kira looked down at her lap. "You were falling...and if you had, I'd still want to be with you."
Eiro paused for a moment then shook his head.
"If they get together, she'll be dragged down to hell too. Along with any children they have."
Kira sighed. "Well, just keep them apart, but don't kill Lucifer. He isn't all that bad."
"Why are you so upset?" Kira started rubbing his shoulders.
"Do I have to keep saying it? He's the DEVIL. Cam is our child. You really want one of our children hooking up with Satan?"
"No, not really." She sighed.
"Exactly." He raked his hair back from his forehead.
She kissed him softly. "Don't worry about it right now, love."
"How can I not worry about it?"
"I trust HER, Kira. I know she isn't stupid. It's that bastard I don't trust. He's the epitimy of temptation."
"Well, as long as they're apart, we're fine."
"He'd better stay apart."
Kira kissed him. "Lucifer can be reasonable when he wants to be."
"Why are you sticking up for him?"
"Because I'm the angel of forgiveness. I can look past the mistakes. You're the one who's always judging people." She held up her hand. "Don't try to deny it."
He had opened his mouth but shut it with a snap.
She smiled sweetly. "You know I'm right." She kissed him softly.
"Yeah, and you know it too. Which means I'll never live it down."
She grinned sweetly. "Who, me?" She gave him an innocent look.
He narrowed his eyes and grabbed her around the waist, pinning her to the bed. "I'm going to make you pay for that."
"Are you?" She smiled at him.
"Yes." He crushed his mouth to hers with a small growl.
*******
Cam's eyes fluttered open.
She was laying in her own bed, her clothing folded neatly beside her. There was also a necklace lying on top of them. It was a golden apple with a snake wrapped around it.
She smiled a little, picking it up. "Oh, Luci, that's so obvious." She rubbed her fingers over it.
The backside felt slightly rough and when she turned it over, she saw it had been engraved with her name. She also noticed the chain was long enough so she could hide it under her clothes.
She smiled slightly. "Thank you..." She slipped it on and got dressed.
When she got downstairs, she saw her father sitting at the kitchen table, reading the paper.
"You're up early for a sunday."
She shrugged. "I woke up early."
He set his paper down and looked at her.
"Sit down, Cam. We need to talk."
"Do you promise me?"
"Yes."
"Then I believe you."
She hugged her father. "I'm sorry I upset you, Daddy..."
He hugged her back, kissing her forehead.
"I know, sweetie. I'm sorry I scared you yesterday."
"Its okay." She smiled at him.
He kissed her temple again.
"So then, what are you going to do today?"
She shrugged. "I think I might do some painting."
"Speaking of painting, were you going to enter anything in that art contest? Your teacher called last night and wanted to know."
She shrugged. "I'm not that good..."
"Your panitings are beautiful, Cam."
"No, Daddy, they're not...not really."
"Have more confidance in yourself. Why don't you try to submit one painting? You might be surprised."
"Okay. But Hiro Namae paints much better than me. He's amazing."
"Well, maybe you'll get lucky and he won't enter."
"Hiro enters every contest. He's an amazing artist." Cam shrugged. "I'll submit one piece, just for you."
"Thank you." He smiled. "What do you want for breakfast?"
"Hmmm...an omelette?"
"An omlette it is." He smiled and went to the fridge, pulling out the ingredients.
She smiled and bounced off. "Call me when it ready, I'm going to start painting."
He laughed.
"Alright, sweetie. Have fun."
She smiled at her little sister. "I'm painting. But I don't know what to paint."
"Paint me! I'm cute," Kokoro said with a wide grin, flopping down on the floor next to her older sister.
She laughed. "Its for a competition, Kokoro. I need something else to paint."
"Oh. Why don't you paint an angel then?"
"Why an angel?"
"Because." Kokoro smiled widely up at her sister.
Camael smiled. "Very well, I'll paint an angel." She started blocking out spaces.
"Which angel are you going to paint?"
"I'm not quite sure yet."
"Paint a nice one. But you don't want it to be too sweet. You want it to stand out in the competition."
"Kokoro, hush! You're only seven."
"I'm almost eight!" she protested with a scowl.
"Still. Hush."
"Well fine. I'm going to get breakfast." Kokoro pulled a face at her and skipped out.
She stuck out her tounge as her little sister left. She smiled as she began to add color to the canvas. "I suppose I can show Lucifer tempting Eve..."
But which form to paint? Lucifer in his human form or in his usual serpent form?
She smiled slowly. To be different, she should do him in his human form with his wings.
She needed her painting to stand out if she was going to compete with Hiro.
She slowly began painting.
Once she started, she just couldn't stop. She didn't even hear her father calling her for breakfast until Kokoro came up to get her.
"Oh! Thank you." She turned her painting and walked out, pushing Kokoro before her.
"Oh, but I want to see!" she protested.
"See what?" Narikage asked as he filled the juice glasses.
"Its not done yet, Kokoro. You can see it when its done."
She made a little face but she dropped the subject. Eiro smiled at his daughter.
"Seems like you're really into it now."
"Well, it was Kokoro's idea, indirectly. She told me to paint an angel."
"Oh? Which angel are you painting?"
Cam blushed a little. "You'll see when I'm done, same as everyone else, Daddy. So don't try to find out early."
"Alright, alright. I promise." He smiled and kissed the top of her head in passing.
She looked at her plate a little guilty. Her father might be a bit upset by the painting...
But she had to paint what she wanted. Even if it upset him.
*****
It took her over a month to finish the painting.
It was actually done the day before the contest. She decided to keep it hidden until the next day.
By then, pretty much her entire family was pestering her about it, but she held strong. She didn't want her father flipping out over it, for one.
It would be easier to keep him in check if there were people around. And she could tell him she was getting him out of her system.
Of course her entire family was coming to the contest.
She just wished one other person could be there to see it.
She sighed. But it was best that he wasn't there. It would be aweful if he showed up, especially since her painting was of him. Her father would never forgive her.
She was also very worried that, audience or no, her father would attack Lucifer.
She sighed as she set up her painting the night of the contest. She missed him.
She heard a step behind her and turned to see Hiro standing there, smiling slightly at her.
"Hey, Cam-chan."
"Hello, Hiro-kun. Your painting looks great, by the way."
"Thanks. Yours is beautiful." He nodded to her canvas. "I've never seen you do anything like this before."
"It kind of just...flowed out..." She smiled at him. "Thank you for the compliment."
"It's a really interesting subject, though. I've never seen Lucifer portrayed as a person before."
"Well, the snake is just an allegory for evil." She smiled at him.
"That's very true. I think you might beat me this year."
"That's my hope."
"If you beat me, I'll treat you to coffee sometime." He grinned and flashed her a peace sign before moving off.
She smiled and blushed slightly. She didn't think she'd beat him and even if she did, she didn't think she'd take him up on the offer.
After all, he WAS a year ahead of her. And she'd heard he could be a little egotisicle about his painting abilities.
Plus, she didn't want to go on anything even vaugely resembling a date with anyone right now...
She still loved Lucifer.

Gabrial hefted Sam on his hip. "Shall we find your aunt?" He looked around the school library for his sister.
"There she is!" Sammael cried, pointing.
"Good eye." He kissed his son's cheek and headed over to his sister.
"Gabrial! Hi!" She hugged him. "Hey, Sam! Where's Mei?"
"In the bathroom. She went right before we came and had to run there right after we got here."
"She's pregnant, Daddy," Sam scolded him.
Cam giggled. "Its okay, Sam." She smiled at her brother. "So, what do you think?"
"I think our dad is going to hit the roof when he gets here but...the painting is beautiful."
"It helped me to get over him..." Cam shrugged. "Daddy will be fine..."
"What will I be fine about?"
She blushed. "Oh...the subject of my painting." She hugged Eiro.
He smiled and hugged her back. "Why? What's the subject?" He stopped when he looked over her shoulder and spotted the painting.
"The temptation of Eve..." she said quietly.
Eiro's mouth dropped a little as he stared.
"Cam..."
"Don't get mad, please..."
"Mad? Why would I be mad?" He turned to look at her.
"I thought you'd be upset that I did a painting of him."
He took a deep breath.
"It's not a subject that's very common. And it's obvioulsy no secret I don't like Lucifer but...it's just a painting."
She hugged her father. "Thank you."
He kissed her cheek.
"And you said you didn't have talent."
She blushed. "I don't. This is a fluke."
"You don't give yourself enough credit, sis," Gabrial said.
"What's going on?" Mei appeared with a smile.
"The men in this family are crazy." Cam smiled at her sister in law. Kira hugged her daughter. "No. You do have talent."
"No I don't."
"Oh, hush, Cam. Yes you do." Mei grinned at her.
"Fine. Until the judges say otherwise, I have talent."
"Where's the guy you're competing with? Hiro-whatever? I want to see his painting," Mei said. She grabbed Cam's hand, dragging her away. "By the way, I can't believe you painted Lucifer."
"Why?" Cam gave her an odd look.
"Because one, it'll add so much to his ego. And two, I really thought your dad might blow up."
"If Daddy would have had a problem, I would have just calmly explained to him that it was my way of getting over him...I mean, I know we can't be together..."
"But...you still have feelings for him, don't you?"
She shot Mei a scared glance. "Don't say anything, please..."
"I won't, don't worry. Look, you can come to me with anything concerning Lucifer."
"Really? Why?"
"Well, because. Everyone needs someone they can rant too. Besides, I understand that ther'es more to Lucifer than the surface."
Cam hugged Mei. "Thank you."
