"I'm...I'm worried though." Mai settled back against her seat, the smile fading from her face. "I'm only a half angel. The council won't want us together."
The young woman blushed palely. "Alright, so I tried on some dresses and fantisized a little," she admitted with a smile. "But that was last season and they didn't have what I wanted."
"Hmm...not quite right. The skirt's close to what I want but the bodice is off." Mai pulled a dress off the rack that was made almost completely out of lace. "Good heavens! How could anyone wear something like this?"
Mai held it up, a wide grin on her face. The fabric was a soft ivory color with just a hint of pink to it. The bodice was sleeveless with two straps on each side holding it up. Tiny rosets of a blush pink color were stiched around the top. The skirt was slightly full and embroidered with shimering pink roses along the hem.
Mai handed the dress to the other woman, picking through the tiaras. She finally settled on a delicate silver one decorated with tiny pearls and soft pink roses.
"We haven't really decided yet. I know he wants it to be soon but I told him not until I find a dress." She patted her skirt. "And, since we've taken care of that...I still don't know."
Mai disappeared for a few more moments and came back with everything over her arm. "Why don't we stop and get some lunch for us and the two at home?" she suggested as they went to the counter to pay. "My treat."
Gabrial was sitting on the couch with her, the channel turned to her favorite cartoons. Cam was resting her head in her older brother's lap, nibbling on crackers.
"Okay. I'll get some in a minute," Gabrial said. Mai appeared then, smiling. "Hey, sweetie." She kissed Gabrial's cheek then leaned down, stroking Cam's hair. "How are you feeling?" "Better." Cam sniffled a little. "Congratulations. Gabrial told me you're getting married." Mai smiled. "Thank you, sweets."
"Ouch! Cam, don't be like these two and abuse men." "You're lucky she's on your lap or I'd do a lot more than just bop you," Mai scolded while Cam giggled.
"I hope you're all better by then, Cam, because I'm counting on you to be one of my bridesmaids," Mai said. Cam's eyes went wide. "Really?" "Of course." She kissed the little girl's cheek. "The MINUTE you're better, we'll go shopping."
"Me too. I'm starved. Do you want anything, Cam?" Gabrial asked. "No, I'm okay." She switched positions so Gabrial could get up. "I'm going to take a nap."
"You don't have to get defensive, Mom," Gabrial said with a little laugh. "I meant, I'm glad you two are finally together and happy instead of apart and miserable."
"I cancelled my last few classes so I could take off. I was too distracted to teach anyway." He kissed her cheek as he walked to the cupboard to get a glass.
"That's good then." He sipped the water and smiled at her before turning to his son and Mai. "Hello, by the way." "Hi," Mai said, hiding her giggle behind her hand.
"I know. Congratulations." Mai blinked. "How did you--?" "Gabrial's here with you, for one, and every time he looks at you, he smiles like an idiot. So, since he's only been back a couple days, I'm assuming you can't know if you're pregnant, therefore, it has to be that you two are engaged," Eiro said. The three people stared at him. "You know, you're too smart," Gabrial finally said with a laugh. "You're supposed to act shocked and surprised." "Why should I be either? We all knew it was going to happen."
"Well, you got mad at me the last time I told you you were going to get pregnant with Kokoro so I decided to keep it to myself. But, since our eldest son is engaged, I was more worried you'd break out that bottle of wine you've been saving for a special occassion." He smiled at her.
"A little, fine. I just didn't want you to get carried away." He leaned forward and gave her a soft kiss. "I'm going to change." He turned and left the kitchen.
Gabrial and Mei started laughing. "That's dad for you," Gabrial said with a wide grin. "Come on, Mom. You should know by now that he sees everything." "He's sneaky," Mei added with a giggle.
She smiled. "Well, it must be hard for you two to get any time to yourselves with six children living in the house. We'll watch Cam and give you two a little time."
When she peeked in their bedroom, she saw that he had changed out of his suit and pulled on a pair of tight jeans she loved. His back was to her as he dug through a drawer, looking for a shirt to cover his bare chest. The sunlight was coming through the windows, falling on his skin and highlighting the deep red scars that were still visible on his back. Even after all these years.
He froze for a moment then laughed softly. "Narikage will come back from the dead just to kill me for telling you." He kissed her. "But I guess you wouldn't have known. We're identicle, after all."
"Didn't you ever notice...that sometimes you'd tell him things. Like...to wait for you after school so you could walk home together. Or that you'd want to go to the park on sunday...and he would say you never said that to HIM?"
He laughed again, rubbing his sore shoulder. "It was an accident the first time you saw me. After I escaped...I found Narikage and lived with him. I was still living there when you came. He went out for a walk and I thought you were out so I hung around his room, reading his books. You came in and demanded we get dinner, remember?"
She shivered slightly. "Does that have anything to do with why you were so cold to me at first?" She pulled back a little so he could pull her bra off her arms.
He nodded, trailing the backs of his fingers over her cheeks. "I was afraid...that you would never see me. That when you looked at me, the only one you'd think of was Narikage."
She closed her eyes. "You were right at first...All I could see was someone like him..." She opened her eyes. "But then I got to know you...and I fell in love again, with you..."
She was glad when he didn't shove her hands away; there were times when he didn't want them touched. But not today. He kissed her deeply, increasing his movements only slightly. He wanted her to have pleasure from this.

"I'm...I'm worried though." Mai settled back against her seat, the smile fading from her face. "I'm only a half angel. The council won't want us together."
"I believe Gabrial's father already had a discussion with him about that."
"I know." She twirled the ring on her finger. "But it's not going to stop them from trying to tear us apart. I don't want anything to happen to him."
"I think we're all more worried about you, Mai." Kira pulled into the parking lot. "Here we are."
"I think there's a bridal shop near the bookstore," Mai said as she climbed out of the car. "They might have something."
Kira laughed. "Do I even want to ask why you know that?"
The young woman blushed palely.
"Alright, so I tried on some dresses and fantisized a little," she admitted with a smile. "But that was last season and they didn't have what I wanted."
"Well, maybe they have it now." Kira smiled and they walked down to the store.
Mai started looking along the racks of plastic-covered dresses, peering at each one.
Kira smiled and browsed a little. "Oh, what about this one?" She pulled out a dress that had a high waist and an off the shoulder neckline.
"Hmm...not quite right. The skirt's close to what I want but the bodice is off." Mai pulled a dress off the rack that was made almost completely out of lace. "Good heavens! How could anyone wear something like this?"
Kira smiled. "Very confidantly?" She held out a dress with a square neckline. "How about this?"
"Right color, wrong shape. We might have to--" Mai broke off with a sudden squeal, diving into a rack of dresses. "Kira! I found it!"
Kira grinned. "Lets see it then!"
"Oh...that is beautiful. Gabrial is going to have a heart attack."
"I think I should get some gloves to go with it, what do you think? And maybe a tiara?"
"Definately a tiara. But what length of gloves?"
"Just over the elbow, I think." Mai held it up against her body. "And maybe some cute satin slippers to go with it."
"Hmm...I think that will work. What kind of tiara were you thinking of?"
"I don't know. Something dainty."
"Well, they have some in back, lets go look."
"Okay." A big smile still on her face, she followed Kira to the back to try on tiaras.
Kira smiled. "Well, find some you like and try them on."
Mai handed the dress to the other woman, picking through the tiaras. She finally settled on a delicate silver one decorated with tiny pearls and soft pink roses.
Kira smiled. "It looks lovely, now...how about you try on the dress, the tiara and some gloves to see how it looks."
"Okay." A slighly goofy smile on her face, she drifted into the dressing rooms. She emerged a moment later, her smile even bigger. "It's all perfect!"
"Well come out here some more and turn around so I can see."
She did so, twirling as she was asked. The skirt floated up around her like a cloud and, as she had said, everything looked perfect.
"Beautiful." Kira grinned at Mai.
"Ohh, Gabrial's going to love it!" Mai said with a loud giggle. "Would you keep it at your house? If I hold onto it, he'll peek, I know he will."
Kira tucked some of Mai's hair behind her ear. "Of course dear."
She clasped her hands in front of her, bouncing slightly on her toes, another giggle leaving her.
Kira laughed. "So, when will you two be getting married?"
"We haven't really decided yet. I know he wants it to be soon but I told him not until I find a dress." She patted her skirt. "And, since we've taken care of that...I still don't know."
"Well, you'll figure it out." Kira hugged her. "I'm so happy for you...for the both of you."
"Arigatou, Kira-san." Mai laid her head on the woman's shoulder. "I'm so glad I finally have you as a mother..."
Kira grinned and stroked her hair. "I am glad to have you as a daughter."
Mai pulled back and smiled.
"Just let me get this dress off and pay for it and we can go."
"Alright." Kira smiled and gestured towards the dressing room.
Mai disappeared for a few more moments and came back with everything over her arm.
"Why don't we stop and get some lunch for us and the two at home?" she suggested as they went to the counter to pay. "My treat."
"Alright. Where do you want to go?"
"Oh, I don't know. We'll think of something." Mai finished paying and the women left.
***********
Kira opened the door and looked around. "Alright, Mai. Take the dress up to my room, I'll find Gabrial and keep him away."
"Thanks." Mai dashed past Kira, disappearing up the stairs.
Kira went into the living room to check on Cam.
Gabrial was sitting on the couch with her, the channel turned to her favorite cartoons. Cam was resting her head in her older brother's lap, nibbling on crackers.
"Hey, kiddo. How are you feeling?"
She looked up with a tired smile.
"A little better."
"She managed to keep some toast down," Gabrial reported.
"Thats good." Kira kissed her daughter's cheek. "Mai bought some lunch, its in the kitchen."
"Okay. I'll get some in a minute," Gabrial said. Mai appeared then, smiling.
"Hey, sweetie." She kissed Gabrial's cheek then leaned down, stroking Cam's hair. "How are you feeling?"
"Better." Cam sniffled a little. "Congratulations. Gabrial told me you're getting married." Mai smiled.
"Thank you, sweets."
Kira smiled. "So, since Mai has a dress, what date were you thinking, Gabrial?"
"You found a dress? What does it look like?" he demanded. Mai giggled.
"I'm not telling you, you nut."
"Wait until the wedding, silly. You are as bad as your father, you know that?"
"I can't even SEE it?"
"No." Mai bopped him gently on the top of his head with her fist. "Now when do you want to get married?"
"As soon as possible."
Kira bopped her son as well. "An actual date please."
"Ouch! Cam, don't be like these two and abuse men."
"You're lucky she's on your lap or I'd do a lot more than just bop you," Mai scolded while Cam giggled.
"Seriously, Gabrial. We need to know so we can work everyone's schedule around it. You have pleanty of siblings and cousins."
"How about two weeks from now?" Gabrial looked up at Mai. Mai smiled and hugged him around the neck.
"Hai," she whispered. "Two weeks from now."
"That should work. I'll let everyone know." Kira smiled and kissed the top of his head.
"I hope you're all better by then, Cam, because I'm counting on you to be one of my bridesmaids," Mai said. Cam's eyes went wide.
"Really?"
"Of course." She kissed the little girl's cheek. "The MINUTE you're better, we'll go shopping."
Cam grinned. "What about Kae and Char?"
"Well of course. And Kokoro will be the cutest little flower girl. The twins can me groomsmen."
"Who'll be the ring bearer?" Cam looked very serious.
"Hmm. Well. Why don't we have Hisui be the ring bearer? I know she's a girl but that's okay."
Kira smiled. "Well, it sounds like you three have the planning going well. I'm getting some lunch."
"Me too. I'm starved. Do you want anything, Cam?" Gabrial asked.
"No, I'm okay." She switched positions so Gabrial could get up. "I'm going to take a nap."
"Why don't all of us go into the kitchen then. Just shout if you need us, sweetie."
"Kay."
The three headed out to the kitchen and while Kira got the plates, Mai unwrapped the sushi.
Kira set out the plates and chopsticks. "So did you have fun with your sister?"
"I always have fun with my sister. And sisters," Gabrial said with a smile. "Even though all we really did was watch cartoons."
"Well, thats good."
Gabrial smiled at his mother.
"I'm really glad you and Dad worked everything out."
Kira gave him a look. "What is that supposed to mean?"
"You don't have to get defensive, Mom," Gabrial said with a little laugh. "I meant, I'm glad you two are finally together and happy instead of apart and miserable."
"Ah. Any particular reason for that?" She took a bite of her sushi.
"Why so many questions? Why don't you just smile?"
"Why so many questions? Why don't you just smile?"
"I'm just curious if you have ulterior motives."
"Don't mind her. She's always suspicious about compliments." Eiro appeared in the doorway, a little smile on his face.
"Hey." Kira grinned at him. "Aren't you home a little early?"
"I cancelled my last few classes so I could take off. I was too distracted to teach anyway." He kissed her cheek as he walked to the cupboard to get a glass.
"Oh? Worried about Cam?"
"Of course." He filled his glass with water.
"Well, she seems to be doing fine now."
"That's good then." He sipped the water and smiled at her before turning to his son and Mai. "Hello, by the way."
"Hi," Mai said, hiding her giggle behind her hand.
Gabrial smiled at his father. "We have some news, just so you know..."
"I know. Congratulations." Mai blinked.
"How did you--?"
"Gabrial's here with you, for one, and every time he looks at you, he smiles like an idiot. So, since he's only been back a couple days, I'm assuming you can't know if you're pregnant, therefore, it has to be that you two are engaged," Eiro said. The three people stared at him.
"You know, you're too smart," Gabrial finally said with a laugh. "You're supposed to act shocked and surprised."
"Why should I be either? We all knew it was going to happen."
Kira laughed. "Well, it is your father. Hell, he usually knows when I'm pregnant before I do."
"Of course. So no drinking for a while," he added, sipping his water again.
She blinked at him. "What?" Then she frowned at him. "Damn you, Eiro!"
"Well, you got mad at me the last time I told you you were going to get pregnant with Kokoro so I decided to keep it to myself. But, since our eldest son is engaged, I was more worried you'd break out that bottle of wine you've been saving for a special occassion." He smiled at her.
"A little wine never hurt any of the children."
"A little, fine. I just didn't want you to get carried away." He leaned forward and gave her a soft kiss. "I'm going to change." He turned and left the kitchen.
Kira scowled at his back. "How would he know my drinking habits, the fink."
Gabrial and Mei started laughing.
"That's dad for you," Gabrial said with a wide grin. "Come on, Mom. You should know by now that he sees everything."
"He's sneaky," Mei added with a giggle.
Kira raised an eyebrow. "Please recall that he was not around when I was pregnant with you, Char, Kae, or Cam."
"No...but I think he was keeping his eye on you," Gabrial said with a smile. "Why don't you go ask him? The sushi can wait."
Kira waved her hand. "Oh, its not important. I just hate it when he does that. I've been pregnant five times before now."
"Well, maybe you should go after him anyway," Mei said with a wink. "We can keep an eye on Cam for a bit."
Kira gave Mai a look. "My, you're being insistant."
She smiled.
"Well, it must be hard for you two to get any time to yourselves with six children living in the house. We'll watch Cam and give you two a little time."
Kira laughed. "Alright, alright..." She started up the stairs.
She smiled softly and crept up behind him to slide her arms around his waist. "Hey, handsome."
He jumped a little and turned his head, smiling down at her.
"Hey. What are you doing up here?"
"Enjoying the sight of my half naked husband."
Eiro laughed softly.
"And what if I want to see my wife half-naked?"
She smiled. "Then you'll have to get me there."
He turned, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her to him for a soft kiss.
She kissed him back softly. "I love you, Eiro..."
"I love you too...Kira..." He smoothed his hand down her neck and shoulder.
She shivered under his touch. "Do you want something...?"
"What I always want...you." He smiled, unbuttoning her shirt slowly.
She grinned at him, her hands sliding over his bare chest. "Is that so?"
"Of course. I thought you were cute the first moment I saw you..." He kissed her neck.
She shivered a little. "I was, was I? Why did you think that?"
"Because you looked so cute in your high school uniform," he said.
She shivered. "When did you see me in my high school uniform?"
He froze for a moment then laughed softly.
"Narikage will come back from the dead just to kill me for telling you." He kissed her. "But I guess you wouldn't have known. We're identicle, after all."
She blinked at him. "What do you mean?"
"Didn't you ever notice...that sometimes you'd tell him things. Like...to wait for you after school so you could walk home together. Or that you'd want to go to the park on sunday...and he would say you never said that to HIM?"
"OH! YOU FINK!" She smacked him. "What was the purpose of you doing that?"
She thought for a moment, then laughed. "Yes, you looked so confused..."
"Narikage told me you were living with us but I stayed away because no one was supposed to know about me." He kissed her. "But I'm glad I saw you."
She smiled. "Why is that?"
"Because you were so beautiful." He pulled her closer to him, kissing her again.
She smiled and kissed him back. "I'm glad you thought so..."
"Of course. But when I found out Narikage had feelings for you...I backed away." He pulled her shirt from her.
"You did? Why?" Her hands slid over his back.
"I wanted him to be happy. He was my father, for the most part." His hands slid down her back, unclasping her bra. "Besides...you loved him."
He smiled and pulled her forward, kissing her, his arms wrapping around her, holding her close.
Her arms slid around him tightly as she held him.
His hands slid down to her pants and he undid the button, pushing them down her hips.
She shivered slightly and her hands slid down his back to rest on the waistband of his pants.
He pushed away her panties and scooped her up.
She made a little noise. "What are you doing, Eiro?"
He smiled.
"Trust me." He put her on the edge of the bed in a sitting position, leaning over her to kiss her softly.
She kissed him back softly. "I do..."
He smiled and ran his hands over her slowly, kneeling between her legs. He kissed her breasts gently, his fingers sliding down to touch her.
She groaned softly. "Oh..."
His hot mouth found the tip of her breast and he pulled it into his mouth, teasing it with his tongue.
"OH...."
"I like it when you make these sounds." His finger slid into her body, moving slowly.
She made that sound again. "I know...oh...You are amazing at making me make them..."
"Thank you." He leaned up and kissed her, sliding another finger into her.
She cried out against his mouth.
He smiled and began kissing down her body again. He slowly pulled his fingers away and his tongue replaced them.
"OH!" Her eyes went wide. "Oh, my..."
He pushed his tongue deep into her, curving it upwards at the tip.
"OH!" Her hands fisted in his hair.
His fingers began to rub over her most sensitive area as he moved his tongue slowly.
"E-eiro..." She was breathing heavily now.
But he didn't just want her to pant his name; he wanted her to scream it.
He gently scraped his teeth over her.
She let out a loud gasp. "Eiro!" Not quite a scream yet. Her hands tightened in his hair.
His tongue began swirling inside of her as he pushed a finger from his free hand into her body.
She cried out again, her back arching slightly.
"You can do better than that, Kira," he murmured, his breath hot against her flesh. He began to move his tongue rapidly inside her.
She cried out again, very loudly. "OH GOD!"
He rolled his eyes upwards, watching her as he added another finger to her, moving them as well.
"Oh...God...you're such a tease..."
"You love it," he said giving her a wicked smile.
She laughed weakly. "Maybe."
He pulled his mouth and fingers away, laying her back and kissing her deeply.
She kissed him back hard. "I love you."
"I love you too..." He took her hands, laying them on the clasp of his jeans.
She slowly undid the button then tugged to separate the zipper. She pushed down on the material, shoving it down his legs.
He kicked them off and, with a single thrust, was deep inside her, filling her just as he always had.
"OH!" She clung to him, gasping at the sensation.
He braced his forearms beside her head, lifting himself up slightly to look down at her.
Her eyes were closed and her head was tilted back, exposing her neck.
He leaned down, gently kissing the soft flesh.
She made a soft noise as she shifted slightly under him.
"How do you want it?" he mumured against her skin, sucking gently to leave a mark.
"How do you want it?" he mumured against her skin, sucking gently to leave a mark.
She groaned softly. "I want you...to make love to me..."
Eiro smiled and raised his head to kiss her. He withdrew his hips and slowly pushed back into her, his movement deep but even.
She let out a satisfied noise as her arms went around him to stroke down his back.
He shivered and she could feel the rough tissue of his scars under her fingers.
Her fingers slowly traced the scars, loving them gently. Her mouth claimed his and she kissed him softly.
She was glad when he didn't shove her hands away; there were times when he didn't want them touched.
But not today.
He kissed her deeply, increasing his movements only slightly. He wanted her to have pleasure from this.
She made a noise low in her throat that sounded like a purr.
"I love you..." he whispered in her ear, sliding an arm around her hips, helping her move with his thrusts.
She made another satisfied noise and her nails dug into his back slightly. "I love you too..."
A low groan left him as the thrusts quickened more. She could feel his muscles beginning to tense.
She loved it when she could drive him mad. She arched her hips a little more and she began to feel her own muscles tighten.
He groaned her name this time, his movements becoming hard and powerful as he strived to push her over the edge.
She gasped again and dug her nails into his back, hard this time. She was getting so close.
He reached down and touched her.
She gasped loudly. "CHEATER!"
He laughed breathlessly in her ear, teasing the sensitive nub above her entrance even as he pounded inside of her.
She fought against the wave that she knew was coming and failed. She screamed in pleasure as liquid spilled from her, her muscles tightening.
Eiro's cry mixed with hers as he buried himself deep within her, his seed spilling into her body.
She closed her eyes as she panted beneath him, her body twitching slightly.
He laid his cheek on her shoulder, his eyes also closing. He loved being with her like this...so warm in her arms...
