He pulled her to him for another kiss. "You do that..." He gave her ass a light squeezed before turning and heading for the basement to check the water heater.
Disappointment washed over him. His wife was dressed in her usual ratty blue robe, a towel wrapped around her hair. "Yeah. I figured we both needed a good night's sleep." She smiled sweetly at him.
"Since I haven't slept the night through since Nate...yes." She gestured behind her. "The shower's all yours. I'm going to put on my pjs." She disappeared behind the changing screen.
Mei waited until she heard the water turn on and the curtain pull into place before dashing out from behind the screen. Working quickly, she set out the candles she had had Cam buy that day, setting them around the bed and lighting them. She draped a gossomer curtain over their four-poster bed, tying them back with the silk pulls. She yanked the towel off of her head, shaking out her curls.
The bedroom was now lit with only the soft light of the surrounding candles. "I certainly hope nothing's wrong. Otherwise, I wasted a lot of money on this." She came out from behind the screen and Gabrial's mouth hit the floor. She was wearing a black sheer teady that tied in the front with a pink silk bow. The ruffles along the VERY low cut top just barely contained her full breasts. The sheer cloth in the front parted slightly as it sloped towards her hips, revealing the black silk thong panties she was wearing.
"You look troubled, my lord." "Stop calling me that, Bee. I've told you a million times." "I will if you stop calling me Bee." Lucifer smirked, sitting back in his desk chair. "Well then, I guess you're never going to stop calling me 'my lord.'" His general smiled back. "I guess not." "Send Lilith in please. I need to speak with her."
"Is that all you've told her? And remember, I'll know if you keep something from me. I lifted you from the lake of fire and if you lie, I'll be more than happy to chain you back to it."
"I don't believe you have the authorization to ask me such questions. Just because you've been in my bed these last years doesn't mean you can question why I question you."
"No! Sweetie!" Lucifer hugged his daughter tightly. "It's not because of you." He squeezed his eyes shut. "It's because of me, Lucy. Because of who I am."
Cam pulled on a pale turquois blue halter dress. She had a dinner with Hiro's parents and hers in a half hour. She twisted her hair up into a knot and adjusted the dress before putting on a gold locket she'd gotten a while ago. It rested just above her breasts which were decently displayed in this dress. She slipped on her matching heels and grabbed her purse, making sure everything was in it before she left to walk to the restaurant. Hiro was bringing his parents so he was getting ready there.
As she passed one of her favorite jewelery stores, she noticed someone coming out. It took her a moment to realize it was the man she had met a couple days ago with his daughter.
She turned that charming shade of pink. "Well...he's not my boyfriend anymore..." "Oh?" She shook her head. "Its an engagement dinner. He asked me to marry him a few days ago and my parents and his are joining us."
Lucifer leaned back against a nearby wall, shutting his eyes. Of course she would get engaged. The whole point of him taking her memories was so she could move on with her life. It didn't make it hurt any less.
He opened his eyes, looking down at the bag he held in his hands, the bag that held his birthday gift to his only link to the woman he loved. He couldn't believe she had kept the locket he'd given her.
He closed his eyes again. He had to get that locket from her. If she still had it, it meant she still had some subconcious recolition of him which could lead to trouble.
He shook his head a little. He'd figure it out once he got there. Tucking the bag in his pocket, he followed behind Cam. ***** Hiro looked down at his watch then out the door of the resturant again.
The door swung open and Cam came in, looking beautiful. She looked around and smiled when she spotted Hiro. She walked over. "Hi." She gave him a light kiss. "Sorry I'm late everyone."
"Yes. I did." She grinned at Hiro, then turned back to her father. "Hiro asked me to marry him the other day...and I said yes." She held up her left hand.
"Good idea," Eiro agreed. "I was curious as to who Gabrian-san and Mei-san went through to find their house," Hiro said. Eiro and Kira quickly exchanged glances.
He closed his eyes and quickly shook his head a couple times. He had to get those jealous thoughts out of his head! He couldn't have her! Right about then, Eiro happened to look up. He spotted Lucifer and his eyes widened. He elbowed Kira lightly.
Her eyes widened. She smiled sweetly at everyone. "Excuse me, I need to use the little girl's room." She got up and gestured for Lucifer to follow her.
Once they were out of sight and ear shot, Kira turned to him. "What are you doing, Lucifer! You know that if she sees you she might get her memories of you and little Lucy back."
"She's already seen me." "What?!" "Twice. But I'm here for the locket she's wearing. It's something I gave her and I'm afraid if she keeps it, she just might remember."
"Lucifer. You know you two can't be together... And as an angel, I completely understand that. But as a mother, I agree that it sucks. I wish all of my children could be as happy as I am. And honestly? I don't think she'll be as happy with Hiro as she would be if she could be with you."
Lucifer paused for a moment, dipping his head. "You know...it's been almost six years since I've seen her...you think it would have gotten easier," he said softly, closing his eyes.
"Speaking from experience, I can tell you it never does...no matter how much you try to fool yourself." Kira hugged him. "I'll be in touch with you later."
"Alright." He paused again. "I take Lucy to the park every Tuesday around lunchtime...if you ever want to come see her. We can't tell her who you are but..."
"Alright. Thank you, Kira." He glanced back and laughed quietly. "You'd better hurry back. Your husband looks ready to jump up and come over here to rip me to pieces."

When Gabrial walked into the house that night he was met with...silence.
He blinked. "Mei?" He called her name softly, in case the kids were all asleep.
"Upstairs!" she called back in a louder tone. If she was speaking above a whisper, that meant...
No kids.
He grinned and jogged up the stairs. "So, did Mom and Dad take the kids?" He took a few steps into their bedroom and stopped.
Disappointment washed over him. His wife was dressed in her usual ratty blue robe, a towel wrapped around her hair.
"Yeah. I figured we both needed a good night's sleep." She smiled sweetly at him.
"Are you sure thats what you wanted?"
"Since I haven't slept the night through since Nate...yes." She gestured behind her. "The shower's all yours. I'm going to put on my pjs." She disappeared behind the changing screen.
He sighed. Damn, he'd been hoping that she was in the mood. He went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Gabrial was going to have a heart attack.
She giggled softly, slipping behind the screen again and taking off her ratty robe, throwing it over the top so he'd be sure to see it.
After a few more minutes, the water turned off and she could hear him towling off.
She quickly fixed the sexy outfit she'd gotten the other day, grinning. This was going to be priceless.
"Feel better?" she called.
"I guess..." He walked into the bedroom, looking down as he secured his towel.
"Something wrong, my love?" She peeked out from behind the screen.
He looked up. "What? No, nothing's....wrong..."
"Uh...um...wow..." He just stared and Mei could see a slight bulge at the front of the towel now.
She giggled softly.
"Is that towel getting a little tight?"
He pulled the towel away as he walked up to her. "What do you think?"
"Oh my, would you look at that?" she swayed up to him, pressing her lithe body against his. "Is that for me?"
He pulled her closer against him. "You know it is..." He kissed her softly. "My beautiful, sexy wife."
She smiled.
"So then, you like the outfit?" She played with the ruffles, teasing him.
"Yes, I do." He scooped her up and carried her to the bed.
"You should have seen the look on your face when you thought you weren't going to get anything."
"Hey, usually thats the reason you send the kids away." He kissed her softly.
She wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back.
His hands slid up her sides to rest just below her breasts, his thumbs caressing the undersides lightly.
She shivered, a little noise leaving her.
"Don't rip it, okay?" she warned in a husky voice.
"You take all the fun out of things...but as you wish." His fingers found the tie and slowly pulled on the ribbons.
The top fell open to reveal her breasts which were much bigger due to the pregnancy.
He gently kissed one and cupped the other with his hand.
She groaned softly, shifting beneath him.
"It's been a while since we've been able to do this," she panted.
"Believe me, I know." He smiled up at her and his free hand slid down to slide between the fabric of her panties and her flesh.
She let out a loud gasp, shivering again. The flesh under his hand was hot and slick.
He smiled and rubbed lightly as he continued lavishing attention on her breasts.
Little pants and moans left her as she writhed under him, lacing her long fingers into his blonde hair.
"Oh god...Gabrial..."
He grinned, then pulled away from her, his fingers trailing over her skin to hook under the sides of the panties. He slowly drew them off.
She smiled back, lifting her hips to help.
He smiled down at her as he dropped it on the floor. He leaned down and put his hands on her hips. He lightly rubbed the tip of himself against her.
She moaned softly, shuddering gently.
"Oh...don't tease me like this..."
"Why not?" His tip slid in a little deeper.
She groaned.
"Because it's mean!"
He pushed in a little more. "How is it mean?"
"You know how!" She wriggled a little beneath him.
He slid in the rest of the way. "Satisfied?" He kissed her softly. "I love you."
She returned the kiss, stroking his cheeks.
"I love you too..." she breathed against his mouth. "Since the very first moment I saw you..."
"I know..." He gently rocked his hips.
She moved with him eagerly, clinging tightly to him.
He kissed her softly and stroked a hand down her side.
She shivered again, arching into him. "More...please..."
He started moving faster. He nipped at her neck and kissed the sensitive skin behind her ears.
"Oh! Gabrial..."
He nipped and sucked at her neck as he moved faster.
Her cries became louder and he could feel her beginning to tense under him.
"Do I need to pull out?" He was panting.
"N-no...please don't..." she gasped, clinging tighter to him. "I-it's alright..."
He thrust a few more times and tensed. Hot liquid spurted inside her.
She let out a loud scream, jerking beneath him. Warmth surged around him.
He cried out. "Oh, Mei..."
She fell back amonst the pillows, gasping, her eyes shut.
"Oh...that was wonderful..."
"Yes, that was..." He kissed her softly.
She smiled up at him, running her fingers through his hair.
"I hope you're up to more because I plan on taking FULL advantage of tonight."
"So do I." He grinned and kissed her again.

"You look troubled, my lord."
"Stop calling me that, Bee. I've told you a million times."
"I will if you stop calling me Bee." Lucifer smirked, sitting back in his desk chair.
"Well then, I guess you're never going to stop calling me 'my lord.'" His general smiled back.
"I guess not."
"Send Lilith in please. I need to speak with her."
"Yes, my lord." Bee bowed, then left. Lilith came in a few minutes later.
"You asked for me, my lord?"
"What exactly have you been talking with Lucy about?" He turned in his chair, facing the demoness.
"I have merely told her about how she gets her familiar, because she asked about yours."
"Is that all you've told her? And remember, I'll know if you keep something from me. I lifted you from the lake of fire and if you lie, I'll be more than happy to chain you back to it."
"I haven't talked to her about her mother if that's what you're asking."
Lucifer studied the woman then nodded once.
"Very well."
"Why the sudden concern?"
"I don't believe you have the authorization to ask me such questions. Just because you've been in my bed these last years doesn't mean you can question why I question you."
"As you wish, my lord. Was there anything else?"
"You tell me." Lucifer turned back to his desk.
She curtseyed. "No, my lord. Nothing else."
"Where is my daughter now?"
"She is in her room, reading."
"Bring her here."
"Yes, my lord." She curtseyed again and left, returning in a few minutes with Lucy.
"Papa?" He turned back in his chair, smiling now.
"Hey, sweetie. Lilith, you are excused."
She curtseyed one more time and left. "What did you want, Papa?"
"I want to talk to you about something very important." He held out his arms.
She bounced into them. "What is it?"
"It's...it's about your mother."
She tilted her head. "What about her?"
"I know you've been asking questions about her. Not to me, but a lot of the lesser demons and I think even Bee was put to your interogation."
"Yes..." She looked down.
"Sweetheart...if you wanted to know about you, you should have come to me. I would have told you what you wanted to know."
"Well, you always seemed so sad when I mentioned Mama around you..."
"That's because...even when I tell you about you...you aren't allowed to see her."
"Do you get to see her?"
Lucifer shook his head.
"No. The night you were born I went to the hospital. I took you and her memories."
"But why? Was Mama a bad person?"
He shook his head again.
"No...your mommy is an angel."
"Oh..." She looked down. "I see..."
"I took her memories away because there was no way for us to be together." He stroked his daughter's cheek. "I didn't want her to hurt."
"But...why? Why can't Mama be with us? Is it so bad? Am I so bad?"
"No! Sweetie!" Lucifer hugged his daughter tightly. "It's not because of you." He squeezed his eyes shut. "It's because of me, Lucy. Because of who I am."
"So then why am I with you and not Mama?" She clapped a hand over her mouth. "OH! I didn't mean it like that!"
Lucifer smiled slightly.
"It's alright. I took you because...I just needed a part of your mama with me. I loved her very much...I still do."
Lucy snuggled with her father. "I love you, Papa."
"I love you too, my little Lucy-san." He hugged her tight, resting his cheek on top of her head.
She buried her face in his chest.
"What's wrong?" he asked softly, looking down at her.
"Nothing." She shook her head.
"You can tell me, Lucy."
"I just wish that Mama could be with us..."
"I do too, sweetie. But because I'm a fallen angel...I can't be with an angel. And if she remembers us, that fact will only cause her more pain."
She nodded. "I know...but I can still wish, can't I?"
He smiled and kissed her nose.
"Wish away, sweetie."

She smiled and stopped. "Hello, there."
He jumped and looked up, his eyes getting VERY wide.
"Nice to see you again. How's your daughter?"
He coughed a couple times. Damn it! Why did she have to be wearing THAT dress?!
"She's doing well, thank you. I hope she didn't trouble you too much."
"Oh, no. She's a darling girl. Very well behaved for her age. She's five?"
"Yes. Almost six." His eyes drifted to the gold locket she was wearing and his eyes widened more. She still had it?!
"Is everything alright?"
"Huh? Oh...uh, yeah. I was just admiring that locket. Who gave it to you?"
"Um... I don't remember. I've had it since I was a freshman in high school."
"It suits you well."
She smiled. "Thank you." She touched it lightly. "Well, I'd best be going. I, uh, have a dinner date."
"A dinner date?" He suddenly remembered what Gabrial had told him. "With your boyfriend?"
She turned that charming shade of pink. "Well...he's not my boyfriend anymore..."
"Oh?"
She shook her head. "Its an engagement dinner. He asked me to marry him a few days ago and my parents and his are joining us."
Lucifer's mouth dropped open. She was engaged?
"Oh...well...congratulations," he said in a slightly strained voice.
"Thank you. I really need to get going. Tell Lucy I said hello!" She waved and hurried off.
Lucifer leaned back against a nearby wall, shutting his eyes. Of course she would get engaged. The whole point of him taking her memories was so she could move on with her life.
It didn't make it hurt any less.
But he still had Lucy... She meant everything to him now... Now that Camael was beyond his reach.
He opened his eyes, looking down at the bag he held in his hands, the bag that held his birthday gift to his only link to the woman he loved. He couldn't believe she had kept the locket he'd given her.
On some level, she still loved him...
He closed his eyes again. He had to get that locket from her. If she still had it, it meant she still had some subconcious recolition of him which could lead to trouble.
But how to get it from her? He sighed. He had no idea.
One thing was for sure, he definitly wanted to see this Hiro guy she was marrying. He'd have to follow her to the resturant.
Maybe he could manage to break the chain...somehow...
He shook his head a little. He'd figure it out once he got there.
Tucking the bag in his pocket, he followed behind Cam.

Hiro looked down at his watch then out the door of the resturant again.
The door swung open and Cam came in, looking beautiful. She looked around and smiled when she spotted Hiro. She walked over. "Hi." She gave him a light kiss. "Sorry I'm late everyone."
The four people surrounding the table smiled at her.
"That's quite alright, Cam," Mr. Namae said.
She gave him and Mrs. Namae hugs as well as her parents.
"You look beautiful," Hiro told her as he pulled her chair out for her.
"Thank you. You look handsome."
He smiled and kissed her cheek before sitting down next to her.
She smiled at everyone. "Thank you for coming."
"Well, you said it was very important," Eiro said, taking a sip of his water.
"Yes. I did." She grinned at Hiro, then turned back to her father. "Hiro asked me to marry him the other day...and I said yes." She held up her left hand.
In unison, the four parents let out screams of surprise that quickly turned to cries of congratulations.
She laughed, grinning. "Well, I'm glad you're all happy about it."
"This is wonderful!" Mrs. Namae smiled widely at them both. "Have you started making any plans?"
Camael laughed. "No. Not yet. We've only been engaged for a few days..."
"But we know we're going to wait until we've finished going to school," Hiro said.
"Which should only be about one year for me."
"And I'll be done in less than six months. So probably in the next two years."
"And we were thinking about just staying at our apartment for a while until we feel comfortable buying a house."
"Good idea," Eiro agreed.
"I was curious as to who Gabrian-san and Mei-san went through to find their house," Hiro said. Eiro and Kira quickly exchanged glances.
"Oh, I think it was something Asuka-san found in the paper for them. I think it was a for sale by owner." Kira smiled.
"Oh. Too bad. I was hoping to find something similar for us."
"Oh. Too bad. I was hoping to find something similar for us."
"Well, we'll see what we can find." Kira gave her future son-in-law a smile.
"We have plenty of time to look for a house, Hiro..."
"I know." He smiled at her, squeezing her hand. "But it never hurts to start looking now and get ideas."
"I know...but the apartment will be fine for a few more years... It isn't like we're going to have kids right away, silly."
"You're spoiling my romantic fun," Hiro laughed.
She raised an eyebrow. "How's that now?"
"You ask too many questions sometimes."
"She takes after her mother," Eiro said.
"All I want to know is how am I spoiling his romantic fun."
"Because it's fun to dream about that kind of stuff."
She rolled her eyes. "You are so sad sometimes."
He shrugged a little.
"I'm a romantic, what can I say?" He smiled and kissed her.
She squeezed his hand. "Now, let me look at the menu."
"Alright, alright." He smiled at her.
Lucifer, meanwhile, slipped into the resturant.
She bent her head as she looked at the menu and flipped through it.
His steely eyes searched the dining area, locking immediately onto the pretty woman. There she was. Now, how to get the locket?
Hiro's hand went up to rest on the back of her neck, massaging it lightly as he murmured to her.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes.
Why did he want to go up there and rip that man's hand off?
She laughed and gave Hiro a light kiss. Lucifer started clenching his fists.
He jumped a little then slinked after her, looking as if he'd just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Once they were out of sight and ear shot, Kira turned to him. "What are you doing, Lucifer! You know that if she sees you she might get her memories of you and little Lucy back."
"She's already seen me."
"What?!"
"Twice. But I'm here for the locket she's wearing. It's something I gave her and I'm afraid if she keeps it, she just might remember."
"Lucifer, I'll get it from her apartment. You need to leave. Please?"
"Fine." He turned on his heel.
"I appreciate it. How is she by the way?"
"She's doing very well. She looks a lot like her mother." He glanced over his shoulder at Cam's back.
"She did when she was born. I'll be seeing you, Lucifer."
"Alright. Thank you, Kira." He glanced back and laughed quietly. "You'd better hurry back. Your husband looks ready to jump up and come over here to rip me to pieces."
She kissed his cheek. "I know. He looks like that at any man that steals my attention." She turned and walked back to the table.
He watched her go, taking a few more moments to study Cam. It was strange how one woman could suddenly make him feel so vunerable.
She was laughing and leaned into Hiro to give him a light kiss, her hand sliding over his back, the ring on it glinting.
He raked his fingers back into his short hair, squeezing his steely eyes shut. He couldn't have her.
That's all there was to it.
********
Cam flipped through a book of wedding flowers, a stack of wedding books and magazines next to her on the couch.
Hiro leaned over his fiance, kissing the top of her head before peering over it.
"What are you looking at?"
She smiled up at him. "Flowers. What do you think of orchids? Or do you like calla lilies? Or would you prefer roses?"
He laughed, cutting her off with a kiss.
"I like whatever you like. You'll be prettier than all those flowers anyway."
