"Wait...Lucy...?" Cam put her hand to her head. She knew this little girl, she... She let out a small noise as a sharp pain in her head kept her from remembering.
Lucy looked at her quickly. "Don't try to remember," she said. "It'll only hurt you." She looked at Miki, her eyes burning. "You. Leave her alone." "Does this mean you've decided?" "I have. And she isn't involved. Leave her out of it completely."
Lucy laid a hand on her arm. "I'm sorry, Cam. You can't know that." A flash went off in front of her eyes and when it had gone, she was alone and confused. Who had she just been talking to?
"I know. But you're irresistable." He grinned and spun her around, kissing her deeply. She had no choice but to give in. ******* When Gabrial awoke one morning, the apartment was quiet, his wife still sound asleep beside him.
"Shh. She's still asleep." He gave the man an odd look, coming around the other side of the couch. Lucy was sleeping there, her head in her father's lap, a blanket covering her.
Lucifer gently slid Lucy from his lap, laying her down and covering her back up. He kissed her once more before looking over at Gabrial. "Thank you, Gabrial."
They both heard a soft step and Mei appeared, a bathrobe around her. "Lucifer? What are you doing here?" she asked in a puzzled tone. Her eyes trailed to Lucy. "Oh...Lucifer..." "If neither of you mind...I'm going to make her think she's your own daughter."
"You two have fun in Paris. Call us when you get there." Eiro smiled a little as he hung up the phone. "They got on the plane alright," he called to his wife in the living room.
"Oh no. You're going to show that to me whether you like it or not." He grinned and kissed her. "Look, I'll go check us in. Wait here." He kissed her softly on the mouth before turning and hurrying to the counter of the hotel.
He was being so silly and romantic. It really was sweet. While she waited, she looked around a little more, taking in all the beauty around her. As she looked, she happened to wander over into the small cafe in the center of the hotel. A waiter moved and she started. A man with familiar white hair was sitting at a table, playing with a cup of coffee. He looked so familiar...but she couldn't remember how. Had she met him before?
She frowned again, then shook her head. She wasn't here on any kind of official business. She was here to have fun. She walked back towards her fiance.
He laughed and started leading her away. But she couldn't help but glance back one more time at the man with white hair and wonder how she knew him. ********
There were squeals and thundering from upstairs as the twins appeared. "Grandma!" "Hey! Don't just greet your grandma and not your grandpa!" Eiro said with a laugh, following his wife.
"Well it makes me jealous." "Grandpa! Grandma!" Another little girl in a rather frilly blue dress appeared at the top of the stairs, hurrying down to meet them. The couple couldn't help but start a little in surprise. "Lucy?" Eiro said, puzzled.
Kira was frowning a little, but it cleared as Lucy hurled herself into Eiro's arms. Wouldn't do to alarm the child. But how on Earth had she found out they were her grandparents?
He gave his wife a bewildered look over the small girl's head. "Um...hello, Lucy." She beamed up at him. "Oh!" Mei appeared from the kitchen. "Er, girls. Don't hang all over your grandparents like that."
"Um...Mei? Is there something we should know?" Eiro said once the girls had disappeared. "Well...yes, actually. A lot of things. Let's go into the kitchen."
Mei sat down, playing with the dishrag on her hands. "I've never seen him look so heartbroken. Even after he lost Cam, he at least had Lucy. But he left her with us and he altered her memories and Cam's."
"He gives up too easily." "He didn't have a choice!" Mei pipped, agahst. "Of course he did. He can live on earth as well as anyone. He could have made a home here with Lucy instead of tossing her aside."
"Well! If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black, Eiro." Miki suddenly appeared by the man's elbow, his arms crossed. Eiro glared. "Go to hell, Miki." "Bite me." He pulled out a free chair, hopping into it.
"Yes, those little bite marks on your neck confirm it," he said slyly. Eiro reached over and bopped him on the head. "Watch it, Miki." He stuck his tongue out. "Why the HELL are you here anyway?" "Because I can be."
"Does anyone want some tea?" Mei stood, putting on a kettle. "Anyway, Eiro, I don't think you should be calling Lucifer an idiot when you wasted twelve years pushing yourself away from the woman you love."

"You're about as subtle as a truck running through a plate glass window, did you know that?" "YOu know what, Eiro?" Before long the man and the boy were bickering. Mei and Kira glanced at one another then picked up their tea cups, taking them out to the living room.
Mei giggled. "Details." "Here, Mama." Lucy reappeared with the old dress, handing it to her mother before skipping off in a dress even more frilly than the one she had been wearing.

She narrowed her eyes at him and sipped from her glass.
He leaned over and kissed her.
"So, let's get you finished packing then get some sleep."
"I'm almost done." She set her glass down and put a few more things in her suitcase, zipping in closed. "There."
"Perfect." He picked it up, setting it by the door with his.
She smiled and picked up her glass of wine.
He wrapped his arms around her from behind, kissing her neck.

She laughed. "You're getting two weeks full of just you, me and Paris."

When Gabrial awoke one morning, the apartment was quiet, his wife still sound asleep beside him.
He smiled and rolled over to kiss her softly. The kids were still asleep. Maybe he'd sneak down and make breakfast for them.
She mumbled softly in her sleep, rolling over and burying her head in the pillows.
He smiled and stroked her back. Looked like sneaking downstairs would be easy.
It was at that point he heard a noise downstairs.
He frowned and got up, pulling on a pair of pajama pants. He quietly went down the stairs.
He stopped in the door to the living room when he saw the back of a familiar white head over the top of the couch.
"Lucifer. Why are you here this early in the morning?"
"Shh. She's still asleep." He gave the man an odd look, coming around the other side of the couch. Lucy was sleeping there, her head in her father's lap, a blanket covering her.
"What are the two of you doing here, Lucifer?"
Very gently, Lucifer moved the blanket, lifting his daughter's shirt. There, jutting from her shoulders, were the start of her white-feathered wings.
Gabrial looked at Lucifer, pity in his eyes. "I am so sorry..."
"If I keep her...I might as well cut them off," he said softly. "She'll be damned for eternity. I can't do that to her. She means too much to me."
Gabrial put his hand on the other man's shoulder. "I assume you want us to take her?"
"You're the only ones I know who will take her."
"We'll take good care of her."
He stroked his daughter's hair.
"I'm going to alter her memories," he said softly.
"Like you did Cam's?"
He nodded a little.
"I don't want her to be sad."
"I understand."
Lucifer leaned down, kissing Lucy's temple. "Please, Gabiral...take good care of her."
"I will. Like she was my own." He smiled a little. "She is my niece after all."
Lucifer gently slid Lucy from his lap, laying her down and covering her back up. He kissed her once more before looking over at Gabrial.
"Thank you, Gabrial."
Gabrial nodded. "I wish you didn't have to give her up."
"So do I..." he murmured, touching Lucy's forehead.
Gabrial sighed a little.

"We have a spare bedroom at the top of the stairs," Mei offered. Lucifer nodded.
"I'll have the imps bring her things then."
Gabrial leaned down to scoop Lucy up in his arms. "I'll just put her to bed, then."
"Wait..." Lucifer unclasped something from around his neck, stepping forward and putting it on his daughter. The pendant was a golden apple.
"Is this the one you gave Cam initially, or is it one just for Lucy?"
"This one is just for her." Lucifer kissed Lucy's temple once more. "Thank you both..."
"Its the least we can do."
Lucifer gave them a tiny smile before disappearing in a small puff of smoke.
"Poor Lucifer..."
"I just wish he and Cam could have been together."

He caught his wife around the waist, pulling her close for a quick kiss.

"Can I take a little from both categories?" He grinned.

"I'm not up to anything. As it were...how would you feel about dropping all the little ones off at Shinji's tonight?"
"That would be nice. But now, I'm especially suspicious of you."
He gave her an innocent look. "Me?"
"Yes. You. What are you planning?"
"See, if I told you, it would completely ruin any plans I was making, wouldn't it?"

"I didn't say that. I'm just saying that if I was, I wouldn't tell you."
She reached out and goosed him. "Sure you would."

"Ow!" they cried in unison causing Mei to burst into loud giggles.

Everyone quickly looked at him. Mei's ears even seemed to prick a little.

He tapped the side of his nose. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Sadly, I couldn't counteract that in my son."
"Oh, it's alright. I don't mind overly much, just like I know you don't mind your husband's attitudes."
Kira laughed. "I'm sure ignore is more the proper term."
Mei giggled.
"Details."
"Here, Mama." Lucy reappeared with the old dress, handing it to her mother before skipping off in a dress even more frilly than the one she had been wearing.
Kira laughed. "Lucifer must have gotten her into that habit, didn't he?"
Mei nodded.
"I looked through her wardrobe and they're full of these kinds of dresses. I think he enjoyed dressing her up like this."
"Like a little doll. Well, we'll get her into some other clothing too."
"I certainly hope so. This stuff looks pretty expensive." Mei sighed a little. "I really do feel so horribly for him."
Kira shrugged. "It was his own decision to not leave hell for most of the time."
"I know." She sighed quietly again, fingering the ruffles on the dress. "But I think he was afraid that if he kept Lucy, he would taint her."
"Yes I believe I've noticed that little flaw."
Kira laughed.
