Cam and Hiro came back from Paris, having greatly enjoyed their time there. The next year they were married in a beautiful ceremony. Lucy had been their flower girl, as the only ones who knew she was Cam's daughter were Gabrial, Mei, Lucifer and her grandparents.
Cam and Hiro were very happy together. They had been married for three months when Kira got a call from a hysterical Cam.
"Slow down, Camael. What is it?"
"H-hiro...he was driving home and a-a...a car ran a light and hit him. They took him to the hospital right away, but..." Kira's daughter was sobbing into the phone.
"Are you at the hospital?"
"H-hai..."
"I'll be there in five minutes... Just try to calm down."
"Hai. Arigatou, Mama."

"Okay." Lucifer picked her up gently and laid her down on a blanket of towels.
She whimpered a little and squeezed her eyes shut against the pain.
"I know it hurts but just try to bear with it." Lucifer removed his jacket, rolling up his sleeves.
She tried to concentrate on her breathing.
Lucifer pulled out a cellphone, calling for an ambulance, though the both pretty much knew there was no way it could get there in time.
She cried out as another contraction hit.
"Just breathe." He took her wrist, checking her pulse.
"It hurts..."
"I know, baby."
She cried out as another contraction hit.
He pushed her skirt up a little, checking her.
"The baby's already crowning," he said. "Push, Cam."
She did so, crying out loudly.
"Okay, stop pushing for a moment." She felt Lucifer wipe her legs a little. "Okay, get ready...push."
She did again. She let out a cry each time she pushed. She panted between contractions. "Oh...god..."
"One more push and it'll be over."
She nodded and when the next contraction hit, she pushed as hard as she could.
She felt a lot of pressure then the sweet release. A thin wail filled the air.
"Oh..." She closed her eyes and leaned her head back. She was so tired.
"You have another girl," Lucifer said, wrapping the tiny child in a clean blanket.
She opened her eyes, smiling. "Oh..."
He laid her in her arms with a little smile.
Tears slid down her face as she held her daughter. "She's beautiful..." She smiled down at her. "Anael." The angel of romantic love.
Sirens began to draw closer.
She smiled at Lucifer. "Thank you for being here..." He noticed her skin was rather pale.
"You're welcome." The sirens pulled into the driveway. "I'll ride with you to the hospital."
"Will you get Lucy? She's in her room..." Her voice was getting soft.
"Bee will watch her. Cam, I need you to stay awake."
"I'm just tired. I'm not sleeping." Lucifer then noticed the small pool of blood between her legs that was slowly growing.
"Shit!" He pressed a towel to her quickly. "Cam, stay awake!"
The paramedics burst in at that moment, pushing Lucifer out of the way to tend to the woman.
Cam answered their questions softly until they put an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose. One turned to Lucifer. "Are you her husband?"
He glanced at her then back up at the paramedic.
"Yes."
"Okay, do you want to ride in the ambulance with us, or take the car?"
"I'm riding in the ambulance."
The paramedic nodded and they got Cam loaded up along with the baby. They gestured for Lucifer to get in with them in the back.
Bee appeared behind his master, laying a hand on his shoulder.
"Go. Don't worry about Lucy."
"Thanks, Bee." Lucifer quickly climbed into the ambulance.
The ride to the hospital was fast. Once there, they rushed the baby and Cam off to emergency rooms.
Lucifer was forced to wait in the lounge. While he was there, however, he called Cam's parents.
Kira was surprised to hear from him. "Why are you calling, Lucifer? Not that I'm unhappy to hear from you."
"Yeah, I know. The reason I'm calling is because Cam's in the hospital. I stopped by to talk with her and she went into labor."
"Oh my God! Did she get there in time?"
"No. I delivered the baby at her house. But...something went wrong. She started bleeding. The doctors are with her now. I have no idea what's going on." Kira was surprised to hear actual fear and panic in his voice.
Kira wasn't surprised. "Thank you for calling. We'll be there soon. Is Lucy with you?"
"No, Bee's back at the house with her."
"Alright. We'll see you in a bit."
"Alright." Lucifer hung up the phone and went to sit back in a chair to wait.
After a while, a doctor came out and walked up to Lucifer. "You're Camael's husband?"
"Yes. How is she?"
"The other doctor is still working on her, but it looks like we're going to get the hemorrhaging to stop without removing her uterus. And you're little girl is doing just fine. She's in the nursery right now. I'll let you know when we're done how things went, but they look good." He walked back to the room.
Lucifer breathed a sigh of relief before heading over to the nursery.
There were rows of babies in little cribs.
His eyes scanned the craddles until, finally, he located the little girl Cam had just given birth to.
She was sleeping peacefully, her skin a rosy tone. Anael. Such a perfect little girl.
He admitted...he felt a little jealous. Even though it was ultimately his fault Cam had ended up with Hiro.
But he still couldn't help but want to be there for Cam and both her daughters. Only one was his, but he'd delivered them both.
He heard a little step and turned his head to see Miki standing there.
"You know...you're pretty cruel, Miki," he said quietly.
"You've been saying that since you were in heaven."
"I've also been saying you're a royal pain in my ass. Both are just as true now as they were then."
"If you like to think so. But might I inquire as to how I am cruel this time?"
"For one, if you're here to take her, I swear I'll rip you apart."
"Take Anael? Why? Her life has just begun."
"Not her. Cam."
"Camael? Weren't you listening to the doctor? She'll most likely pull through. With everything intact, they say."
A muscle in Lucifer's jaw twitched. He grabbed the little boy, lifting him and pinning him against the wall.
"Listen here, you little shit," he growled. "DON'T toy with me."
"Lucifer, you'll want to be very careful or I just might take her away to spite you."
"Watch your tongue."
"I will do NO such thing! You've taken everything away from me!"
"No. I haven't. You've done that to yourself. Yes, I threw you out of heaven. But beyond that, this mess you're in is all your own fault." Miki's eyes flared. "If you hadn't been so wrapped up in your own pity party, you might have realized that you could be with your family and be happy for once!" The boy calmed. "So make sure you're there when Camael wakes up. If you're holding Anael, so much the better."
Lucifer let out a little snarl and dropped the boy.
"Get out of my sight, Miki. I just might strangle you."
"You know that wouldn't do any good except piss me off."
"No, but it would make me feel a hell of a lot better."
Miki sighed. "I'll talk to you later." He walked off around the corner.
Lucifer turned back to the nursery windoow, leaning his head against the glass.
Was he just imagining it...or had Miki just given him permission to be with Cam?
That's what it had sounded like. "Lucifer?" A familiar voice came from behind him.
He was jolted from his thoughts and he quickly turned.
"Oh, hi."
Kira smiled at him. "Which one is Cam's?"
He stepped aside and pointed.
"The one at the end. She looks just like her mother."
Kira smiled. "She does. What did Camael name her?"
"Anael."
"It suits her." Eiro appeared behind his wife.
Kira nodded. "That it does. Have you heard anything about Cam yet?"
"They stopped the bleeding and they said she should be fine."
"Thank god."
"Yeah, that little bastard's been here too."
"Hmm? Oh, Miki?"
"Yes."
"Why was he here?"
"Just to annoy me."
"He seems to like to do that."
"Yes, he does." Eiro smiled a bit.
"Why don't you go find out how Cam's doing, Lucifer?"
"Huh? Oh...yeah, sure." He moved off.
Kira looked at her husband. "Do you know something I don't?"
"No...I just think those two need a minute together."
"I take it as a good sign that he was there on his own."
"Yes. And though I'm not entirely extatic at the thought of having the devil as an in-law, there are worse choices, I suppose."
"Like what, a telemarketer?"
"Exactly." He smiled and pulled her into his arms, hugging her gently.
Kira smiled as she looked at her newest granddaughter. "I just hope he gets it through his head that he can love her and be with her without worries."
"Well...I learned. If I can learn, anyone can."
Kira laughed. "I suppose that's true."
He laughed and kissed her.
Lucifer found Cam's room and opened the door, peeking inside.
She was laying in the bed, asleep. She had a needle in her arm and monitors attached to her.
He went to her beside, pulling a chair close to her. He took her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"You're not allowed to scare me," he said softly.
The monitors just kept beeping softly as she slept, her chest going up and down gently.
He sighed and layed his forehead on her hand, closing his eyes.
He didn't know what he would have done if he'd lost her.
He wouldn't have been able to handle something like that.
She shifted a little in her sleep. "Luci..."
He raised his head.
"Cam?"
Her eyes were still closed. She must have been talking in her sleep.
He shook his head and layed his cheek back down to wait.
******
When Lucifer woke up, he felt a hand stroking his hair lightly.
He raised his head, blinking his eyes. "Cam?"
She smiled at him. "Hey."
"Cam!" He leaned forward. "Are you feeling alright? Should I get the doctor?"
She laughed. "No, silly. The doctor came in while you were asleep. He wanted to wake you up, but I told him to let you rest." She smiled at him. "I'm actually surprised you didn't wake up when I fed Anael."
"I haven't been sleeping well lately I guess."
"Well, you seem to sleep better when you're near me." She smiled. "So I guess when you move in with me you'll be sleeping pretty well."
He smiled slightly.
"Who said I was moving in with you?"
"Me."
"And who are you to boss me around?" He leaned his forehead against hers.
"Your wife apparently." She smiled softly at him. "Really, I'm the woman who loves you more than anything."
"I love you too, Cam." He touched her cheek.
"Then be with me. Raise children with me." She cupped his cheek in her hand.
"Cam...I don't want to corrupt you...or the children."
"Luci...I'm going to slap you if you say that again. You won't corrupt us. You had Lucy for five years and she's fine."
He smiled slightly.
"It's hard to argue with you, you know that?"
"Much more difficult than when I was sixteen, ne?"
"Yeah." Lucifer smiled and kissed her. "Alright...I'll move in."
Cam kissed him back and when they broke, he could see tears on her face.
"Cam...love, why are you crying?" He wiped the tears away gently.
She sniffled and smiled. "Because I'm happy."
"Oh." He smiled as well.
There was a light knock on the door and Bee peeked in. "Miss Cam, there's a little visitor here who wants to see you."
Cam smiled. "Thank you, Bee."
"Mommy!" Lucy raced into the room and leapt onto her father's lap. "Are you okay?"
Cam ruffled her daughter's hair. "Yes, I'm fine now. Do you want to see your sister?"
"YES!" Cam laughed.
"She's just over there in the crib. Maybe Papa could hold her so you can see better?"
"Papa!" Lucy bounced in his lap, tugging on his shirt. He laughed quietly and stood.
"Alright. Calm down, Lucy-san." He went to the crib and lifted the tiny babe. She fussed for a moment before settling down. Lucy peered at her.
"Ohh...she's so tiny!"
"You were that little once."
"Was I?"
"Yes." Lucifer sat back down so Lucy could see better.
Cam smiled as she looked at her daughters with Lucifer. She might just have to paint this scene.
"When can she come home?" Lucy asked.
"Probably in another couple days. Your mommy needs a lot of rest."
"But we'll all be together when Anael and I come home."
"All?" Lucy grinned. "Papa! You're coming home with us?!" He shushed her.
"Yes, Lucy. I'm coming home with you."
"Yay!"
Cam smiled. Her whole family in one place. Finally. What could be more perfect?
Well...maybe if he would ask her to marry him...
But she could wait for that.
She already had one wonderful daughter with him and he was moving in with her. She could wait to marry him.
"Papa, we can take her shopping and get her dresses just like mine!" Lucy giggled and bounced again, jabbering a mile a minute.
"I draw the line at frilly dresses on a baby. Maybe when she's older, but not now."
"But she'll be adorable in them," LUcifer said with a smile.
"You can buy her five. No more."
"Perfect!" He grinned.
Cam shook her head and sighed. Just then Anael started to cry.
Lucifer jumped a little.
"Oops. I think she's hungry."
Cam took her from him and lowered her gown to allow her daughter access to her breast.
Lucifer couldn't help but stare. It had been a while since he'd seen them, after all.
Cam was oblivious and Lucy had climbed onto the bed to sit with her mother. Anael ate and Cam stroked her downy head lightly, a soft smile on her face.
He watched, unable to stop smiling.
He was actually happy.
*****
A few days later Cam and Anael were released from the hospital. Cam was under strict orders to stay in bed for a few days, only getting up when it was absolutely necessary and continuing to take it easy for a few weeks after that.
Lucifer moved in to help. When he had to work, he would send Bee to watch Lucy and help Cam with the baby.
Personally, those first few weeks, Cam preferred it when he was working. Lucifer could be a bit of a worry wart if he thought she was 'exerting' herself.
After a couple weeks had passed, though, he seemed to ease up a little.
Mostly because he'd been with her and Anael at the check up. The doctor had told her she could go back to her usual routine, but taking it easy in 'certain areas'. This referred to any activity that could cause a lot of strain.
But...surely she could have sex...
While Lucifer was getting the car, she asked the doctor quietly about that. He told her to talk to him about it when she came back in two more weeks.
Which meant no.
Damnit.
Though, given what had happened, she could understand it. She was quiet on the way home.
"Is something wrong, Cam? You're quiet," Lucifer commented, glancing over at her.
"No. Nothing's wrong."
"Are you sure? You're very quiet."
"I'm fine, Lucifer." He knew something was wrong then. She never called him Lucifer.
He sighed and pulled the car over.
"Alright. Tell me what's wrong."
"What? Nothing!"
"You called me Lucifer."
"What?"
"You're the only person who doesn't call me Lucifer. You only call me that when you're upset or pissed at me. I assume you aren't mad at me becaue I haven't done anything to tick you off. Therefore, the only logical explination is that you're upset about something. What happened? What did the doctor say to you when you were alone with him?"
"Its nothing. I'm just being silly. Expecting my body to finish healing faster..."
He touched her cheek.
"Cam...you went through a horrible trauma. Of course it's going to take time."
"I know, I know. I'm just frustrated."
He kissed her softly.
She kissed him back.
After a moment, he pulled back, giving her a little smile.
"How about we stop and get dinner? It'll save us both from cooking."
"Okay." She glanced in the back seat. "Anael is still asleep."
"She's a quiet one. Lucy was always fussing."
"Was she?"
He nodded.
"Yeah. The succubi did adore her though."
"Yes, she said Lilith was always especially nice to her."
"She watched Lucy when Bee and I were busy."
"Yes, I gathered that. And Lucy also said something about a familiar. What is that about?"
"The serpent that's tattooed on my chest is my familiar. When Lucy is old enough, she'll get one as well."
"Ah. I see. And what kind of familiar will she get?"
"Whatever she wishes. Last time I asked her she was still trying to decide."
"Oh." Cam settled into her seat. "So, what do you want to pick up for dinner?"
"Well...we could stop at that sushi bar you love."
"Awww, you're so sweet to me." She kissed him softly. "I just wish I could do something for you in return."
He smiled slightly.
"You just being you is fine."
She smiled back. But as soon as she was able, she was going to do something VERY special for him.
Something she was absolutly sure he was going to love.
Like sending the girls to their grandparents for the night and sneaking up on him wearing practically nothing. She smiled a little and plotted.
***
"So you think the baby will be alright without you for a night?" Lucifer asked as he shut the front door behind them.
"She'll be fine. I've pumped enough breast milk for the night and mother knows how to take care of babies."
"I don't doubt she does. I just hope the baby won't be too fussy for her." He kissed her forehead. "So what are you planning to do with your night off?"
"Get some sleep for once." She gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I've not gotten a good night's sleep in a month." She walked into the bedroom, praying he wouldn't follow her.
"I'll be out here reading then," he called after her.
"Alright." She smiled and went into the bedroom, shutting the door. She quickly undressed, putting on a pair of red lace panties and a sheer red robe. She undid her hair and let it fall in black waves down her back.
Lucifer, meanwhile, made himself comfortable on the couch, opening the book he was reading.
After a while he heard the bedroom door open and soft footsteps.
"Something wrong?" he asked without looking up.
"No..." Her voice had a bit of a teasing tone to it.
"No? I thought you were tired--" He looked up then.
And promptly dropped his book.
She smiled a little shyly. "I decided we could put our night alone to a better use.
